Considered one the the best basketball players in NBA history Michael Jordan has a life filled with great accomplishments.Born in Brooklyn on Feb. 17, 1963 his passion for basketball grew as he observed his older brother and his love for the sport.Believe it Or Not Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team because his coach believed that he wasn't ready.That didn't put him down and in his college years he played for the great North Carolina where he would help lead the Tarheels to the 1982 NCAA Championship, making the game winning shot.After winning the Naismith College Player of the Year awardd in 1984, Jordan decided to leave North Carolina to enter the NBA draft.He was drafted 3rd overall pick into the Chicago Bulls where his career led him to being selected to the NBA All-Star Game and named Rookie of the Year. This would just be the beginning of a career filled with awards and accolades.
